Kevin Rambosk for County Sheriff

Another public servant candidate web site, this one with a higher Web 2.0 factor, it's a Blog and has an RSS feed and for those that look closer and know what to look for will also find a link to his facebook profile on the site. Of course, you can only look at a facebook profile if you have a facebook profile yourself. So get one if you are curious, it's easy. Kevin Rambosk, for those who really don't know him, is Don Hunter's Undersheriff since 2005 and is a former City of Naples Manager, City of Naples Chief of Police and has lived in Collier County since 1978. You'll find the rest of his bio on his web site. There you also find some video footage and more. Listed at the Supervisor of Elections site are two opponents for the Sheriff's posts in the upcoming election: - Angiolillo, Vincent 'Vinny', Republican - Ortino, Victor P., Republican As all candidates are Republicans, the election will actually be decided in the August 26, 2008 Republican primary. So if you are a snowbird, a registered voter in Collier County, don't forget to apply for absentee ballot and make sure your signature that is at the Supervisor of elections office matches your current signature. As long as there is not independent candidate or Democrat running for the Sheriff's office, the Republican primary in August will be open for all Collier County voters. Janeice Martin for County Judge

This week in the paper (NDN) I found the announcement that the president-elect of the Collier County Bar Association Janeice Martin is running for County Judge. I took a look at her web site. It's a bit scarce still and I am hoping that she will soon also have an RSS feed so I give her a spot in this collection. A political online campaign, that does not have an RSS feed will not keep the online audience engaged, especially not in this political season which will be loud and noisy. Campaign Manager Cathleen Couratelo has found an excellent graphic designer and obviously a great and large campaign team. The jurisprudence community is behind Janeice Martin, now they have to get out the vote, too. First step: get a link to the NDN article on there, as it tells the story of Janeice Martin much better then the web site does.
