Web 2.0 A brave new world

And a buzz word with a lot of different meaning for a lot of different people. In general it refers to all the web content that is user driven, blogs, photos, slide shows, videos, social networks, the biggest site of all " Wickepedia" as well as the tools to create your own set of mash-up web sites, widgets, rss feeds, etc. and then there is the part of Web 2.0 that refers to a 5 inch screen and a keyboard the size of a brownie, the whole area of mobile phone and smart phones that access the Internet. Yes, the everybody has hi-jacked the term Web 2.0 and we are left with another buzz word again, then there is the father of the Web 1.0. Tim Berners-Lee, who actually refuses to work in the terms of Web2.0 he works on the Semantic Web a certain form of web of the web, when machines are able to read content and web itself... He is quoted on Wikipedia: " People keep asking what Web 3.0 is. I think maybe when you've got an overlay of scalable vector graphics - everything rippling and folding and looking misty - on Web 2.0 and access to a semantic Web integrated across a huge space of data, you'll have access to an unbelievable data resource." Let this be the end stage of entangeld confusion for today. The Naples Free-Net will start a series of classes on the how to find, use and love rss feeds. More in the next days.
